We are located in the residential areas in-between Redhill and Northbourne. As we are situated here, we rely on the support and recommendations of the local community. Therefore we have been devoting ourselves to delivering the kind of service that the local people want, and they confidently come back to us time and time again.
We are a family-run business, and we opened our first restaurant in Gloucestershire in August 1994. We worked extremely hard to build up our name and we managed to gain the recognition from the local people in the areas and further afield. We were accredited with the highest quality of food & service by a number of food critics and columnists of local publications, including local newspapers such as the Evening Standard, Evening Advertiser, and the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire Gazette. There were a number of feature articles about the quality of our food and service. We were also accredited and certified by the Guild of Master Craftsmen and the Good Food Guides, after they had visited our restaurant with mystery diners.
However, this has not made us complacent at all, as we believe that our hard work and persistence to offer the best products and solutions to our customers are essential to a successful restaurant. We also believe that our continuous research and development of healthy cooking ingredients and new flavours to suit our customers is very important in sustaining our reputation as the ‘highest grade’ in the restaurant market.

Thanks also to Bournemouth Borough Council for their Safer Food awards, which they issued us for every year since we opened here in January 2007. We continue gaining the trust from our customers as time goes on. We are prepared to serve you, our customers, in a professional manner and to offer you the best value at all times.
Our business mission is to provide a respectful and delightful service to our customers and to enhance their quality of life by social integration of good cultures and to provide each individual an extensive range of healthy options. We care for the well-being of their bodies and minds.
I personally have the flair and compassion in Chinese cooking, and I believe that the best ingredients are in the natural essences of all types of produce. Therefore I know that freshness is the most important part of cooking - all other ingredients just enhance those essences.
Cooking is about creativity, personality and cultural philosophy, and many people have now learnt that Chinese cultures centre on the maintenance of good health, sustainability of our youthful looks, as well as enhancing our social interactions and personal enjoyment.
I look forward to seeing you in our restaurant.

wow service was so friendly and the food portions were huge. I enjoyed the platter very much it tasted so fresh. The chef even made an effort to come out and say hello. I hope one day they are able to open a restaurant in the town centre. keep up the excellent service.

An enjoyable experience (Recommended by Anthony 20 June 2010)
As one who doesn't usually eat Chinese food, I was pleasantly suprised at the well blended tastes and also the very good service. A ver nice experience and well worth a visit for those who enjoy Chinese food or those who have yet to try a Chinese restaurant.
| Thanks to all @ e-pan, sorry we are a noisy bunch ! Brilliant food/ fantastic service dont know what else to say ! |
We have visited e-Pan on a number of occasions and have found the overall experience excellent every time. The quality of the food was outstanding with a large selection of dishes. The hospitality was superb with staff going out of their way to ensure that we had an enjoyable evening. The prices were reasonable and a good selection of wine is offered.
We think that this restaurant is well worth a visit.

you should not judge a book by its cover, well I usually disagree. However, in this case, what appears to be rather nondescript premises from the outside turns out to be a gem of a find for the quality of food here at E-Pan. The quality is so good it should be located in the centre of Bournemouth town so everyone could appreciate this wonderful Chinese cuisine that Louis Kwong and his family business serve up. The guy is as nice as his food, and hailing from Hong Kong - they do things fast there - you won't have to wait long from pan to plate to palate! This is Cantonese style cooking and ‘the real thing’ according to my Chinese girlfriend - she thought the shrimps particularly good. Me? I liked most everything! Wash it down with some decent wine here too. Go once, and you'll be back time and time again. Can't wait to get back - I'm now in China - once bitten forever smitten!

e-pan Chinese restaurant is a very nice restaurant - good service and food. We love the ambience and food. Their wine list is very special too, excellent for its value.

E-pan boasts a range of mouthwatering and healthy dishes (no MSG used in the cooking) which are authentic enough to make Chinese natives feel entirely at home. The chef Mr. Kwong has a big smile which is as infectious as the food. Nice Chinese beer and succulent spare ribs dowsed in rich gravy. You're unlikely to wait long between courses; but if you do, there's always fine Chinese arthouse films to keep you occupied. They know here how to please and delight all the senses.

Have eaten here a couple of times and had take away meals. The food is delicious, beautifully cooked. The chef is also the owner and takes real pride in his cooking of authentic chinese food. There are also the old favourites on the menu for those who like them. His wife is delightful doing much of the front of house stuff. All in all a great dining experience.

We have eaten at and ordered take-away from E-Pan many many times and have also enjoyed a number of important family celebrations there (birthdays etc.). The food is always beautifully cooked with real pride and care, the service from Louis and family is always perfect and i cannot recommend this restaurant enough, if you enjoy Chinese food then E-Pan is definitely the place to try.

This has been our favourite Chinese Restaurant and Take-A-Way since it opened. The food is fantastic, the service excellent and the atmosphere and environment with the plants etc is soothing in our hurried world. The proprietors Mr and Mrs Kwong are great hosts and look after their customers attentively. We have taken elderly relatives there for their first Chinese dinning experience and everyone has had a great time. I have also taken business guests there for lunch and shall continue to do so for the quality of food, the efficient service and friendly staff. Also, the sign of good management is knowing your customer - and Mr and Mrs Kwong now greet me and my family by name - that is what makes Epan special from all the other local Chinese restaurants in the area."
